WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO MILESTONE SYSTEMS: I was an external member of the Board of Directors of Milestone Systems for 3-4 years prior to entering the role as CEO.

WHAT MAKES MILESTONE SYSTEMS DIFFERENT: Milestone was the first company to develop IP-network video surveillance software based on open architecture.Milestones strength comes from its unique support of multiple network hardware equipment and its strong partnership business model.
THE NEXT BIG HURDLE IN THE SECURITY INDUSTRY: "Old days" proprietary protectionism and lack of future-oriented business vision.There is a big hurdle in the industry as a whole to renew itself.
PRIORITIES THIS YEAR: 2009 is a consolidation year for Milestone after a decade of extremely fast growth.
BEST PERSONALITY TRAIT: Im open to new ideas, proactive about seeking new opportunities, and good at recognizing and developing talent.
WORST PERSONALITY TRAIT: I overbook engagements in my calendar.
FAVORITE GUILTY PLEASURE: Sailing and golf feel like stolen pleasures because they take time away from my family in the already-limited availability of leisure time -- so I dont get to do them very often!
THE FIRST THING YOU THOUGHT OF WHEN YOU WOKE UP THIS MORNING: --get up and do the morning run!
ON THE GLOBAL ECONOMY AND SECURITY: The global economy is impacting financial performance in the security industry.However, with or without the global economic crisis, 80% of the video surveillance market is still going to be digitized.It is not a matter of if, but a matter of when, and the global economy will only influence the latter.
