Intelligent Video Gets Even Smarter

Can artificial intelligence of filtering and detecting unwanted events be surpassed?

One of the hottest topics in video surveillance is video analytics. At most security events video analytics steals the show. End-users want to know how video analytics can help them run a more effective and efficient security program. Integrators see the market opportunity to upgrade existing systems and create more interesting security designs.
Video and alarm management manufacturers gladly display video analytics capabilities within their own solution or as a part of their offering.
And the numbers don¡¯t lie, the video content analysis software market has been growing at an annual rate of 62 percent. According to IMS Research intelligent video revenues were about US$150 million in 2007 and are projected to reach US$220 million in 2008 and US$390 million in 2009.
