The U.S.Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has named Kathleen (Lenz) Petrowsky as the federal security director (FSD) for Chicago OHare International Airport (ORD). Petrowsky has been serving as the acting federal security director for ORD since November 2006. As FSD she oversees all TSA operations at OHare airport.
"Kathleen has been a linchpin at OHare for a number of years. Her track record is outstanding and we are truly excited to welcome her on board as director for one of the busiest airports in the nation," said Morris McGowan, assistant administrator for Security Operations.
Petrowsky has been with TSA for five years. Prior to serving as the acting FSD, she worked as the deputy federal security director at ORD. Kathleen also was the assistant federal security director-operations, overseeing Human Resources, Finance, the 24-hour Operations Center, Customer Service and Stakeholder Liaison offices. Prior to joining TSA, she was with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) where she worked in the fields of security liaison, regulatory enforcement and investigations.
