Joint security solutions offered

Aladdin Knowledge Systems, an information security leader specializing in authentication, software DRM and content security, today announced a significant partnership with Unisys Corporation, a worldwide technology services and security solutions company. The partnership follows Unisys internal use of the Aladdin eToken strong authentication solution -- announced April 9, 2007.

Through the partnership, Unisys will expand its relationship with Aladdin to offer the Aladdin eToken strong authentication and eSafe secure Web gateway solutions to its global base of government and commercial customers. Aladdin eToken solutions will be bundled with Unisys existing security solutions, providing customers with advanced identity management, privacy protection, data protection, and national digital ID cards. Aladdin eSafe will be offered to enhance Unisys portfolio of content security and risk management solutions.

"We are excited to incorporate Aladdins products into our advanced and growing security solutions portfolio," said Tim Kelleher, vice president of global security solutions for Unisys.

"Having successfully implemented Aladdin eToken internally, Unisys knows the innovation and reliability Aladdin brings to authentication and security. This partnership allows us to better serve our customers by offering quality solutions for strong authentication and Web security products."

Organizations deploying the Aladdin-Unisys offerings will receive one of the easiest-to-use and administer two-factor authentication solutions available, as well as the most complete Web gateway available. When deploying eToken, together with Unisys Identity Management solutions, customers can benefit from robust central user provisioning and strong authentication capabilities to enable secure and consistent access to corporate backend systems -- protecting sensitive data, lowering IT cost, and boosting productivity.

Aladdin eToken offers strong authentication for a full range of solutions, including secure VPN access and enhanced network access. Unisys also will offer its clients the Aladdin eToken Token Management System (TMS) which enables full lifecycle management of authentication tokens -- including deployment to users, provisioning and ongoing maintenance, the handling of lost or stolen tokens, and auditing and reporting.

Aladdin eSafe stands as an innovation leader, offering a comprehensive Web content security platform for Web 2.0 attack prevention, spyware control, Web application control, and malware protection. Unisys customers now have access to unmatched capabilities, including the ability to inspect encrypted HTTP traffic (SSL/ HTTPS) and anti-anonymizer technologies that prevent unauthorized user attempts to circumvent the organizational Internet security measures. Scalable to protect both large government organizations and small enterprises, Aladdin solutions are well positioned to serve Unisys broad range of customers.

"Unisys offers Aladdin an opportunity to expand into new areas and markets that have a need for high-end strong authentication and network security solutions," said Phil Pavay, vice president of global business development for Aladdin. "We are excited to collaborate with Unisys on worldwide security initiatives to provide security solutions that address the growing need for a scalable, unified gateway and authentication security solutions."
