JVC extends IP camera line-up

JVC Professional Europe has extended its comprehensive IP camera product line up with the introduction of a new high-resolution fixed IP network camera, model VN-V25U. The VN-V25U comes in a 23% smaller enclosure than its predecessor; the VN-C20U and incorporates the most advanced electronics for IP surveillance. The VN-V25U will be first demonstrated to the International security industry on the JVC stand 063 during the IIPSEC 2008 show.

The VN-V25U produces outstanding image quality and the camera has the unique feature of providing full motion dual stream VGA resolution for both Motion JPEG and MPEG-4 images at 30 frames per second (fps).  Here, operators are able to view images in real-time and at a low
bandwidth MPEG-4.  When an alarm is triggered, the camera can stream real-time Motion JPEG images for continuous and high quality recording.
The Wide-D function incorporated inside the camera is the equivalent to the conventional wide dynamic range function found inside traditional analogue CCTV cameras and allows pictures to be adjusted to identify details of the subject even in backlit conditions.
The camera is equipped with an Easy Day/Night function providing higher sensitivity for monitoring at night time or in dark places and the minimum required illumination is 0.04 lux in B&W mode.  The camera is ideal for winter time or in extreme heat conditions and is operable
in temperatures ranging from -10o to 50o centigrade.
The camera utilises Power over Ethernet (PoE) or separate AC24V power. PoE enables the camera to be operated and powered from a single cable from a power hub device.
"The introduction of the VN-V25U is a result of JVCs commitment to investing in the development of innovative products that meet the stringent requirements and needs of a wide variety of security applications," said Yash Patel, Executive Director, CCTV Europe at JVC Professional Europe. "All JVC IP products all have an open architecture and are designed to integrate with any existing surveillance infrastructure, offering our customers the best security solution available."
Camera set up is very easy and can be achieved using Internet Explorer.  Additional features of the VN-V25U include dual API support for JVC protocol and Verint VSIP, standard 10/100BaseT interface for connection to a LAN, WAN or to the Internet.
The VN-V25U may be combined with JVCs VR-N900U or VR-N1600E network video recorders to provide an all-JVC digital IP security solution for small to enterprise level security systems.
