AverMedia Surveillance products used in ABC hit series

AVerMedia donates a state-of-the-art Surveillance System to a Deserving Washington Family to provide safety and security.

AVerMedia ¢ç Technologies, Inc., a provider of Surveillance and presentation technology recently donated a state-of-the-art SA7208H digital video recording (DVR) surveillance system to the ABC hit series "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,¡± so that they could give one deserving Washington State family something they were in dire need of – a sense of security.  The AVerMedia SA7208H DVR was included with a full surveillance offering provided and installed by Olympia Systems, Inc., a security systems integrator in Olympia, WA.

Single mother Connie Chapin¡¯s 100 year old home was on the brink of caving in. She used to lay awake at night thinking of escape plans for herself and her four children, worried at every noise she heard. She says ¡°it was an answer to a dream,¡± to have her home transformed into something warm and safe. Her home was torn down and rebuilt into a modern masterpiece of design and technology.

As part of the cutting edge security system, the SA7208H DVR was linked to four cameras at the front, back and side doors, as well as all the home televisions. Connie can now view crystal clear images of anyone who enters her property on any of her home TVs. She can even monitor her home on vacations through the internet, in real time because of the DVR¡¯s advanced IP-enabled technology!

Phil Turner, President of Olympia Systems, Inc., whose team installed the DVR system in the Chapin¡¯s residence, says that ¡°AverMedia¡¯s SA7208H DVR is the easiest thing to use and understand. In fact Connie¡¯s 16 year old daughter, Molly, was able to navigate the system within minutes! The SA7208H digital video recording system is a complete turnkey solution that is easy-to-install and can accommodate up to eight cameras. ¡°We are extremely proud to help the Chapin family as part of our continued commitment towards enriching the lives of our community,¡± says Arthur Pait, President of AVerMedia Technologies, Inc. USA. ¡°This also demonstrates the flexibility of AVerMedia products.  Although the SA7208H DVR is traditionally used in a business environment, this sleek device was able to be quickly installed and used in the Chapin¡¯s home, adding to their security and peace of mind."
