VASCO opens a sales and support office in Japan

VASCO Data Security International, Inc., a software security company specializing in authentication products, has announced that it has expanded its worldwide reach by opening a sales and support office in Tokyo, Japan. VASCO¡¯s office is situated in the Chiyoda-ku ward, the financial, governmental and economical center of the country.

The Japanese market is of strategic importance for VASCO. The country is one of the world¡¯s high-tech hubs, with a mature Internet banking channel, a high Internet penetration and a population of over 127 million people. VASCO recently won its first deals in the Japanese banking industry.

VASCO¡¯s Tokyo office will be responsible for all sales and support in Japan. VASCO recently hired its first employees in Japan, and is continuously looking for new staff to support its growth.

¡°By opening an office in Tokyo, VASCO strongly reinforces its presence in Asia,¡± said Jan Valcke, VASCO¡¯s President and COO. ¡°We invest in the Japanese market because we are convinced that our strong authentication products can make the Internet a safer place for Japan¡¯s citizens and companies.¡±
