Universal Protection Service expands presence in Northern California

Universal Protection Service, a privately held security company, announced on Friday, September 7, its acquisition of Ligouri Associates, Inc.

A regional security service provider in northern California, the United States, Ligouri Associates, Inc., was previously headquartered in Napa, California.

"We are very excited that Ligouri Associates, Inc. will become part of our team at Universal Protection Service.  With Ligouri Associates, Inc. joining us, Universal Protection Service gains a marketable advantage in several cities in both northern and southern California," stated Brian Cescolini, president and CEO, Universal Protection Service.

Lou Ligouri, president and CEO, Ligouri Associates, Inc., went on to state that, "We welcome this opportunity to join ranks with Universal Protection Service and their professional team of security experts.  As we move forward in this venture we will be better equipped to serve the needs of our clients by providing a greater and more efficient level of training resources for our security officers, expanded administrative support and further personal interaction."

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.  Following the acquisition Universal Protection Service will staff over 6,000 security professionals across America and have reported revenues in excess of US$180 million annually.
