Tampa¡¯s St. Joseph¡¯s hospital implements Verint Nextiva Enterprise solution

Verint Systems Inc., a provider of analytic software-based solutions for workforce-enterprise optimization and security, today announced that regional health care provider, St. Joseph¡¯s Hospital, has deployed its Nextiva¢â Enterprise networked video solution to enhance security across four locations on its Tampa, FL campus.

St. Josephs Hospital has served the health care needs of the Tampa Bay community since 1934.  The hospital deployed Nextiva Enterprise as part of an initiative to enhance security at its main hospital, Women¡¯s Hospital, Children¡¯s Hospital, and Netpark IT data center.

Said Dodd Day, Security and Safety Manager for St. Joseph¡¯s Hospital, ¡°At St. Josephs, we pride ourselves on delivering accessible, compassionate and family-focused health care services. Key to this approach is ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors and staff.¡± Continued Day, ¡°Verint¡¯s Nextiva solution has enabled us to leverage our existing security system infrastructure and its open architecture will allow us to scale our deployment as our facility changes and grows.¡± The St. Joseph¡¯s project was deployed in conjunction with Verint partner, Securitas Systems.

Nextiva Enterprise is part of the Nextiva portfolio of networked video solutions.  Nextiva enables organizations of all sizes, from small and mid-sized enterprises to major government and commercial organizations, to enhance the security of their facilities and infrastructure and the performance of their business operations by networking video across multiple locations and applying advanced content analytics to extract actionable intelligence from live and stored video.  By alerting security personnel to potential security threats, Nextiva helps organizations prevent security breaches, improve response time and enhance operational efficiency.

¡°As the market leader in IP networked video, Verint delivers open, IT-friendly solutions that help our customers bridge the gap between analog and digital video environments,¡± said Dan Bodner, President and CEO of Verint Systems. ¡°Our Nextiva Enterprise solution helps organizations like St. Joseph¡¯s enhance security across their distributed campus facilities, and its flexibility and scalability helps lower the total cost of ownership of their entire security network.¡±
