Siemens integrated Pixim¡¯s DSP technology into their new CCTV camera

Siemens have integrated Pixim Incoporateds patented Digital Pixel System¢ç (DPS) technology into their new Ultra Wide Dynamic Colour Surveillance camera (CCWC1345). This offers ease of use with a convenient remote set-up via serial ports.

Key benefits of this include:

-Wide dynamic range (120 dB)

-NTSC/PAL dual video standards

-Universal twisted pair (UTP) video out and two power input models

Siemens CCWC1345 is ideal for applications such as traffic monitoring, incident detection and other surveillance activities in varying lighting conditions.

Besides the conventional BNC video output, an integrated UTP video output enables the transmission of the video signal via simple twisted pair cabling such as telephone cable over a distance of up to 1200m using a twisted pair receiver unit such as TP-RXMO02 or equivalent.  This is ideal for installations requiring long distance cabling, such as tunnel surveillance.

"Our new Pixim-enabled CMOS ultra Wide Dynamic Colour Surveillance Camera delivers excellent image quality and colour accuracy in any lighting conditions with no motion artefacts," explains Thomas Dieregsweiler, CCTV Product Manager for Siemens Fire Safety and Security Products.  "Not only does the CCWC1345 overcome challenging lighting such as glare, extreme lighting, and strong backlight, to catch crucial details, but the Pixim chipset has enabled Siemens to produce one camera for both NTSC and PAL video standards for greater installation flexibility."
