Bae Systems names Steve Schneps Vice President of Operations

BAE Systems has named Steve Schneps vice president of operations for its Electronics & Integrated Solutions (E&IS) operating group.

E&IS, with headquarters in Nashua, New Hampshire, designs, develops, produces, and supports electronic systems and subsystems for a broad range of military and commercial uses. The business employs 18,000 people at more than 40 sites across the United States and abroad.

Schneps previously served as director of operations for several of the unit¡¯s major lines of business ? Information Warfare, and most recently Electronic Warfare. Before joining BAE Systems in 1999, Schneps was vice president of the electronic attack business area for the company¡¯s legacy Marconi and Tracor businesses.

Schneps began his 28-year career in aerospace and commercial businesses at United Technologies¡¯ Norden Systems, where he held positions as program manager, operations program manager, and plant manager. He also held senior positions at Easco Aluminum and E-Systems.

He holds a bachelor¡¯s degree in economics and master¡¯s degree in business administration from the University of Connecticut.
