Datacard Group accelerates card delivery with a fast, stand-alone solution

New Datacard¢ç MXD(TM) Mailer card delivery system helps high-volume card issuers maximize speed, capabilities and cost-efficiency

Datacard Group, the world leader in secure ID and card personalization solutions, today announced the launch of the Datacard¢çMXD(TM)Mailer card delivery system, a high-volume, stand-alone system that processes up to 3,000 customized carriers per hour.

"Many card issuers prefer to segment their card issuance process into discrete steps to optimize their throughput and the utilization of their capital equipment," said Katherine Boosalis, manager of delivery, fulfillment and packaging marketing for Datacard Group. "The MXD Mailer system aligns perfectly with this strategy while continuing to deliver the one-to-one marketing capabilities that build customer loyalty."

Built on proven Datacard technologies, the MXD Mailer system can replace multiple systems or manual steps with a single, automated process. The system reads magnetic stripes, bar codes or smart card chips on pre-personalized cards and matches each card with a data record. When accuracy is verified, the system prints a personalized carrier, affixes cards and prepares the carrier for inline envelope insertion.

Innovative features, such as the high-capacity stacker, help increase productivity as operators can perform other tasks before clearing the stacker. The new multi-card buffer module stages cards during data verification to help ensure they are placed in the correct order on the form at optimal speeds. The system also offers dual page personalization, a unique capability that significantly increases real estate on card carriers for customized marketing and branding messages.

To drive operational efficiencies, the MXD Mailer system and the latest Datacard¢çcard issuance systems utilize a common intuitive graphical user interface. As a result, issuers can add the MXD Mailer system to their site with minimal end-user training.

"The MXD Mailer system provides the technologies card issuers need to create powerful, personalized mailings quickly and efficiently in a stand-alone format," Boosalis said. "Essentially, it gives issuers a cost-effective way to capture cardholders attention without sacrificing performance."
