Legnano Hospital will cover some 179,000 square meters and has attracted over EUR 155 million of investment covered by Private Investors.
The M100 system from Zenitel leads the way with total solutions for communications and security applications. Dedicated expertise in communication, access control, closed-circuit TV, intercom, nurse call, paging and public address means even the most demanding requirements can be met. Compatibility and flexibility are guaranteed by the integrated system approach.
The hospital communication system to be installed, similar to Zenitel¡¯s largest nurse call system installed into Cisanello Hospital, Italy, earlier this year, will be made up of 500 lines, catering for 647 patients. Using 200 stations, the system will integrate all areas of the building and provide general communication between and from the operating rooms to the surgeries to the offices. The system is connected to a 32 zone PA System for Evacuation as per the ruling of IEC60849.
The M100 communication system has been providing internal communication for more than thirty years. Despite the introduction of mobile phones, PCs and the Internet over the years, direct loud speaking, hands free internal communication has its place in any healthcare infrastructure. From the first fully electronic and microprocessor controlled system regarded as the most advanced at that time, Zenitel has made significant product development progress through a combination of the vast resources invested, together with close co-operation with end users.
M100 PAN integrates easily with other security systems. This project was in fact won thanks to the systems integration to Nurse Call and Intercom, and Zenitel¡¯s Cabling System wiring philosophy, in competition with others Fiber Optic solutions, was also preferred in preference to the BUS method.
M100 hospital communication systems from Zenitel are backed up with comprehensive maintenance, service and training support. And with a wealth of experience in health care applications, you can be sure that communications channels will stay open, and personnel and property will remain safe.
Legnano Hospital is still undergoing construction but will be delivered to in March next year with operation planned for June 2008.
