Unique inline liquid threat detection system

Optosecurity has unveiled XMS (X-Ray Molecular Spectrometer), a new and unique technology that can identify containers and their contents, which may be potential threats.

The threat detection and identification is achieved by interpreting standard checkpoint 2-D X-Ray tomography (imagery). Optosecurity has filed a number of patents in the United States and internationally regarding this technology. The technology identifies potential threats according to their unique molecular signatures, including oxidizers and flammables, can identify seemingly innocuous materials/liquids that may be assembled into an IEDs and can be connected to any existing X-Ray checkpoint system to improve threat detection. The XMS also works inline on existing X-Ray checkpoints without requiring secondary offline processes. Automated threat detection improves the performance of security screeners and reduces their workload and fast performance allows for 100% PBS explosives screening. The technology does not require any additional or costly upgrades to X-Ray system (Multi-View X-Ray or CT), nor changes to the existing screening process.
