The system will encompass the design and integration of digital schematics, video, access control, alarms, and system redundancy to manage power outages. The system will operate via wired and wireless networks allowing for an interoperable communication gateway for first responders and MTA Security elements.
¡°AirVisual is excited to be working with the NYC MTA and we look forward to being a major contributor to this innovative security solution,¡± said Tom Hansen, Founder and CEO, AirVisual. ¡°The IntelliViewer deployment will play a key role in helping to protect the city¡¯s transit system. This unique remote video solution will be a great case study for other transit systems to learn from, as we are just realizing the true potential of integrated open architecture software platforms and how they interact with common procedures and user results.¡±
AirVisual¡¯s IntelliViewer open and secure platform offers full telemetry, enabling control over internal video surveillance system functions such as PTZ control, DVR set-up and programming, and access control with advanced notification features -- including the ability to send bookmarks with specific information related to alarm events.
AirVisual¡¯s IntelliViewer provides real-time views as well as archived video playback from surveillance cameras, GPS-tracking and alarm monitoring using a map-and-floor plan interface and offers personnel immediate access and sharing of critical data previously only available via the central station. IntelliViewer can be implemented using virtually any mobile device on almost any wireless network. It integrates with existing video networks as well as supporting other surveillance technologies such as heat sensors, motion detectors, access control and chemical/biological monitoring. For added convenience and ease of operation, IntelliViewer utilizes standard Web browsers to provide a Graphical User Iinterface (GUI) for configuration and operation, without having to install custom software.
