8 megapixel multi-window display with new Toshiba LCD

Today more than ever, visual communications require multifunctional, dependable, visually striking displays. Toshiba Display Systems recently introduced the 8 megapixel model P56QHD, 56 inch LCD display panel and RGB Spectrum identified an opportunity to combine it with the MediaWall¢ç 2000 videowall processor to create a very high-resolution multi-input single panel display.

The display market demands ever-higher resolutions and striking displays.
Toshibas P56QHD is more than up for the challenge.  Its superior image quality shows off high-bright, high-contrast images viewable at any angle.  The high- resolution panel at 3840x2160 is the highest of any flat panel display on the market.  Its high-speed, fast video response time of 6.5ms delivers the performance needed for any application.

The LCD requires four inputs, each at 1920x1080 pixel resolution, which is where the MediaWall processor comes into the picture.  Originally designed to feed four monitors in a video wall configuration, the MediaWall is the perfect processor for the panel.  It easily supports the 1920x1080 DVI timing output settings necessary to drive the panels four inputs.

In preparation the the upcoming Infocomm show, Bob Marcus, CEO of RGB Spectrum, tested the MediaWall with the Toshiba LCD.  According to Bob, "The panel produces an impressive, bright, crisp image and the MediaWall delivers a seamless 3840x2160 input to the panel."  He adds, "As with tests we have performed on other 4K display devices, the tiling of four output images was flawless in a precise 16:9 aspect ratio to fit the screen."  The amazingly bright 8.3 million-pixel 56-inch panel was transformed into a single screen display capable of displaying 12 computer and video signals in exquisite detail.

The combination of the MediaWall 2000 and the Toshiba P56QHD deliver a unique set of benefits, with multiple image sources viewable in their original resolution on a single display.  And if more windows are needed, the MediaWall 2000s big brother, the model 2500, can display up to 8 computer and 8 video sources simultaneously.

The MediaWall 2000 comes packaged in a rugged 2U chassis designed for 24/7 operation.
