Partnership between intelligent video appliances leader and pan-European security and imaging products provider leads to dominance in Spain and Portugals Intelligent Video Market

ioimage, the pioneer of intelligent video appliances designed for simplicity, has announced that BFi OPTiLAS, a distributor of specialized products and services for Europes electronics and photonics markets, has deployed over 1,000 of its systems. Serving as ioimages distributor in Spain and Portugal, BFi has incorporated security and surveillance solutions at a myriad of public, government and private organizations. The partnerships rapid success was marked by its 1,000th system - with the placement of an intelligent video security and surveillance system at Diputacio de Barcelona, the parliament offices serving Spains Catalonia region.

Bringing together BFis rich experience and ioimages leading line of intelligent video products, the partnership caters to a wide range of residential, industrial and public-sector customers throughout Spain and Portugal. The multi-sized, simple-to-install deployments carried out by BFi cover diverse verticals including solar energy, power and government.

"Our collaboration with ioimage led to rapid results for both us and our customers," said Oscar Romero, Security Division Manager of BFi OPTiLAS. "Since ioimage products are so simple to install and maintain, we have smoothly completed the deployment of over 1,000 systems in a relatively short period of time. Just as important, our customers have been extremely satisfied with the results in the field. Were confident that the partnership will only strengthen in the upcoming period."

Founded over 50 years ago, BFi OPTiLAS provides a range of imaging solutions including high-speed video, progressive scan, and cooled digital CCD cameras; image processing software; and lighting for security and surveillance, military and industrial applications.

"Joining forces with BFi OPTiLAS entrenched our footprint in one of the most rapidly growing security markets in Europe," said Zeev Farkash, VP Sales and Customer Services. "BFis experience and proven track record provide us with the leverage to further expand our position as the intelligent video appliance leader, and so far the results speak for themselves."
