AES Corporation, the manufacturers of AES IntelliNet - wireless mesh communications systems for remote alarm monitoring, today announced that it has received ETSI approval for the AES 7350 ITK (Integrated Transceiver Kit) radio transceiver. The 7350 transceiver is an AES-IntelliNet network PCB and radio integrated into a single component case. Designed to be fitted easily into an existing alarm panel, due to its small size, this unit offers the customer a cost effective option to expand or create an AES-IntelliNet network.
"The ETSI approval standards are stringent and the 7350 ITK passed the approval tests with flying colours. Without this approval, companies are not legally allowed to use a radio in the EU as is the case for FCC approval in the U.S.", said Jim Vithanage, International Sales Manager for AES Corporation. "Due to the lower cost of this radio, we are now a viable system to use instead of, or even to complement, a solution already utilising PSTN or GSM monitoring networks," Mr. Vithanage added. Alexander Karsay, the Managing Director of RIMI NABDA, Ltd. s.r.o., Slovakia, recently changed over to AES-IntelliNet due to the high reliability of the alarm communications network. Now that his company supplies AES-IntelliNet systems and equipment to Securiton, a major Central Alarm Monitoring Service in the Slovak Republic, he is very pleased with the ETSI approval. "The approval of the 7350 will lower my costs and increase my profit margins. Now, I can lower my costs by installing the 7350 unit inside existing alarm panels, which makes it a much simpler solution as well", said Mr. Karsay.
