Brinks selects the quintiq security planning solution across EMEA

Brinks Inc, a security services provider, has selected the Quintiq Security Planning solution to improve its security services planning across EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). The security industry is growing rapidly and by implementing the Quintiq solution Brinks aims to support planned growth in Europe.

Brinks is a global leader in business and security services. Its services include Cash in Transit, ATM services for managing automated teller machines, Money Processing and security services to provide major added value for customers.

The Quintiq solution will be used to plan the activities of some thousands of Brinks employees of the security services workforce at Brinks EMEA. The company will install a central planning system, which will be hosted centrally in London. This system will initially serve the planning activities in 5 countries currently scheduled to run this application. More countries are expected to be added in the future.

Brinks selected Quintiq after Quintiq developed a Proof of Concept in which it demonstrated its flexibility and power in solving the complex planning of security employees across different countries. Quintiq was able to meet the requirements of all six scenarios that were part of the Proof of Concept.

John Mavrapostolos, Managing Director Greece at Brinks says: "With Quintiq we aim to meet the increasing demand from our business and corporate standards for more efficient utilization of highly trained and specialized uniformed security personnel. Successful implementation of the system will assist the Security Services division of Brinks EMEA to efficiently grow further." Uniformed Security Officer planning in the security business is a complex puzzle with many variables. The Quintiq solution enables customers to develop a planning system that can take into account all variables, including country specific labor regulations, certifications, client requirements, special expertise and others. After implementation, Brinks will profit from unified processes, reduced planning efforts and much more efficient deployment of its workforce.
