GVI Security Solutions secures major school video surveillance order

GVI Security Solutions, Inc., a provider of video security surveillance solutions featuring the complete Samsung Electronics line of products, announced an additional school video security order from the Sarasota County (Florida) School District of the U.S.A.

¡±We expect to deliver over 900 outdoor weather proof and vandal resistant dome cameras that incorporate motorized zoom lens technology during 2007 to expand a high resolution, always-on video surveillance solution to protect students, teachers, staff and visitors at the Sarasota County School District," said Michael D. Capulli, GVI Security Solutions Sr. VP of Sales, North America.  "The new order is in addition to the 700 cameras that weve already shipped and have been installed at the Sarasota County School District since the program began last year."

"Securing the nations educational facilities is a significant growth segment of the multi-billion dollar security market, and one that we are concentrating on, as the vital importance of pro-actively putting security solutions in place before problems occur is becoming more and more evident to forward looking school administrators in the Sarasota County School District and throughout the country," stated GVI CEO Steven Walin.  "From a business perspective, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) school security is becoming an important vertical market for GVI and other companies that participate in this space including large network and computer supply companies like CDW Corp., CDWC ¡¤ News ¡¤ as well as more traditional security industry participants like MDI Inc. MDII ¡¤ News."

The Sarasota County project includes CCTV Video Surveillance controlled through RS-485 communications using Samsung protocols.  In addition GVI also offers a complete video surveillance security solutions for the school security market including Digital Video Recorder (DVR) with Remote Viewing and TFT-LCD (Thin Film Transistor-Liquid Crystal Display) flat screen monitors along with complete analog and IP (Internet Protocol) PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) cameras.
