Security guidelines for water collection facility to be set up

In the wake of a recent case in which a small water supply facility in a village in Hongseong was poisoned with herbicide and pesticide, the guidelines were drawn up in South Chungcheong Province, a province in the west of South Korea.

South Chungcheong Province, a province in the west of South Korea, will set up the nation¡¯s first guidelines for equipping the water collection facilities with security systems such as locking devices, security fences, CCTV systems, intrusion detection systems and opening and closing sensors in order to make sure the stable management of the small-scale water supply facilities. The province will phase in the security systems. The guidelines were drawn up in the wake of a recent case in which a small water supply facility in a village in Hongseong was poisoned with herbicide and pesticide.
