Brivo Systems, LLC, the specialist in Web applications for access control and security systems, has announced that Brivo President and CEO, Steve Van Till, has joined Axis Communications General Manager, Americas, Fredrik Nilsson, in delivering a highly topical panel presentation at the TechSec Solutions Conference in Dallas, the U.S.A. Brivo has recently teamed up with Axis in a new cooperative technology relationship.
The panel, ¡°Security as a Service: The Next Wave of Integrated IP-based Monitoring,¡± includes Andres Armeda, IT Director for Secure-i, Inc., in addition to Van Till and Nilsson. Secure-i has recently announced a technology partnership with Axis, so the panel, which showcased IP-based monitoring solutions, brought together three-related major players in the rapidly growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) market.
Brivo Systems has seen remarkable growth over the last several quarters as end users from small and medium-sized businesses to Fortune 1000 enterprises turn to the SaaS model for hosted access control to achieve scalability, improved ease of use, and lower total cost of ownership. In partnering with Axis, Brivo is now extending its offerings to include direct video integration with the award-winning Brivo ACS Webservice¢â.
¡°Major industry leaders such as Microsoft and Oracle are making significant investments in SaaS systems, demonstrating strong validation for our business model,¡± said Van Till. ¡°The Brivo ACS WebService¢â offers hassle-free scalability with an unlimited number of accounts. The investment to get started is much lower than traditional systems, and unlike the large capital expenditures that bring unwelcome surprises when hardware needs to be upgraded, a SaaS-based system spreads payments out to more manageable and predictable ongoing operating expenses. In the current economic climate, we are seeing a major spike in interest in SaaS solutions for physical security.¡±
Industry veteran Fredrik Nilsson is no stranger to panels and presentations which predict industry trends and help navigate where the security industry is going, ¡°The Software-as-a-Service model fits very well for large deployments using a couple of network cameras per site, and provides flexibility and image quality previously not available using using analog systems. Brivo has well-established expertise in SaaS for physical security, we look forward to working with them, and I think the audience at TechSec will enjoy the complementary perspectives we three panelists will offer.¡±
