A reader that works off a popular ISO communication platform is installed into the lock.  This reader contains an antenna that emits a Radio Frequency (RF) signal at specific intervals "searching" for smart cards that fall within its emanating communication field.

The reader is strategically positioned behind a special optic lens that acts as a window to "release" the RF signals.  The Quantum RFID lock features a sectional trim design with less hardware on the door.  With its concealed reader, the Quantum RFID lock is ideal for use in areas with climate extremes.
