Pixim¡¯s technology powerse Pelco¡¯s new monitor

Pixims unique pixel-based imaging technology enables the Pelco Public View Monitor to deliver detailed images even in challenging lighting conditions.

2008-Pixim Inc., a leading provider of image sensors and processors for enterprise security cameras, announced that its award-winning Digital Pixel System¢ç technology has been incorporated into Pelcos new Public View Monitor, which was introduced today.
The Pelco Public View Monitor, created specifically for the security industry, is an integrated monitor and camera system designed for placement at building entrances, such as retail, banking and medical facilities. The Public View Monitor simultaneously deters criminals (vividly demonstrating that the premises are protected by video security) and allows the display of promotional, welcome and informational messages to everyone who enters the building.
"By utilizing Pixim technology, the camera in our Public View Monitor self-adjusts to any lighting condition, making it ideal for locations challenged by variable light," said Linda Myers, Pelco product marketing manager. "As a result, not only are our customers not faced with adjusting settings, but they also have peace of mind, knowing that they can capture accurate, actionable information in challenging lighting conditions such as building entrances and lobbies."
Pixim Digital Pixel System technology is the only video image processing technology to employ hundreds of thousands of pixels, each acting like an individual camera. These self-adjusting pixels eliminate image-compromising visual noise and deliver high resolution, natural color and clarity - in all lighting conditions. Pixims all-digital system overcomes typical impediments of existing analog CCD technologies to provide positive subject identification.
"Pixim makes it possible for video security systems to deliver data without doubt," said John Monti, vice president of marketing and business development, Pixim. "In selecting our technology, Pelco recognized the importance of delivering a solution that gives its customers the certainty they desire: clear images in any lighting condition."
