Brickcom can provide not only high megapixel network cameras, but also more intelligent functions to make camera surveillance as easy as plug-and-play. For example, SmartFocus® allows users to remotely focus the camera anywhere there is Internet connectivity. Moreover, the Profile Management function, WPS support, and variable wireless solutions, such as WiFi, 3G, 4G (WiMAX/LTE), etc. all offer more sophisticated IP surveillance possibilities.

“If you look at our products, when we offer the 5-megapixel camera, we started from the indoor cube. We have mini domes for trains, vandal domes for outdoor applications, bullet cameras for outdoor applications, speed domes for 2- or 3-megapixel and many more. This means that we can offer a complete solution for different applications and we keep trying to offer differentiated features and additional features,” said CEO Ebony Huang.

Brickcom has built a complete IP surveillance solution for any application and currently has over 300 partners around the world. “We have done that in just about three years while it took, for example, Axis about 30 years and Vivotek about 10 years to do that,” said Huang. “In addition,” he continues, “we have cameras that feature intelligent video analytics built inside and perform advanced functions such as people counting.”

Brickcom is a Taiwanese company and its overhead expenses are lower than those of its competitors in the West. “In general, our price is about 30% lower than our competitors, but we can provide products with even better quality,” said Huang.

Brickcom is trying to position itself in the market as a solution supplier providing a variety of quality products at a much more affordable price compared to its competitors.

Brickcom describes themselves as ‘an expert in wireless IP surveillance’. “We provide various methods for wireless connection. We have IP cameras with WiFi inside, we have 3G and we have LTE. 4G is coming up. We have WIMAX inside. We provide multiple choices. We can provide products that cannot be provided by others,” said Huang.

Brickcom strives to develop software and hardware that is embedded with the latest technology. Its Research and Development Department is constantly developing new, innovative ways to improve technology within the IP surveillance industry. Most of all, Brickcom has a solid foundation for engineering quality network video equipment with an R&D development department that has been producing wireless broadband networking equipment for over twenty years.

Brickcom has some partners in Korea and will fully support its local partners to organize marketing events like trade shows, seminars, road shows, etc. and build long-term partnership.

Brickcom is very interested in entering the Korean security market. But in the past, due to the limited resource, Brickcom has not been able to put much resource into Korea. Now it is established in most of the countries around the world, from this year Brickcom started to work on the Korean market. Brickcom is now working on some projects in Korea now.

Brickcom’s growth is pretty healthy. “We are already approaching the break-even point even though we have been established only for three years,” said Huang.
