How would you like to describe Mate Intelligent Video?

MATE is a global provider of intelligent, real-time video analytic solutions for proactive video surveillance, and is active in three main verticals: security, safety and retail.  Its advanced technology analyzes video content to detect potential threats and hazards in real time and provides an alert when the event merits attention.

MATEs technology converts ordinary video cameras into intelligent sensors and information systems that track irregular behavior plus detect events and count people.  The products dramatically reduce data and information overload, and operational costs.

In addition, MATEs counting products provide retail managers with a smart tool for measuring marketing success.  The products assist in the study of shopping trends and sales conversion ratio, impact analysis of marketing activities, inventory control plus they reveal customer purchasing habits.  MATEs counting products improve business profitability and increase the return on investment.

MATE is a privately held company.  We are a dynamic high-tech company, and I believe that with our excellent technology and dedicated manpower, we combine all the ingredients required for success.

Can you please introduce your management philosophy and vision to us?

My management approach is based on the "end to beginning" philosophy.  I believe that identifying and understanding our market and market potential is the first step to success.  An additional building block in our path to success is maintaining a close relationship with our customers and partners by listening very carefully to their needs and demand.  MATE needs to be result-oriented, taking into consideration both long and short term goals.

I intend to create a competitive strategy plan that will ultimately result in the companys development and consequently the delivery of value for our customers.  I also intend to create an organizational culture that will encourage professionalism and promote the employees industry know-how.

How do you see the intelligent video surveillance market?

The security and safety markets have been on the up-rise for the past ten years, showing a sharp increase both on the awareness and the demand level.   Our technology, intelligent video, has achieved a better market recognition and acceptance with the realization that an added analytics layer on top of the existing video feed is a must.  Adding the analytics layer transforms passive systems into a real-time state-of-the-art proactive video surveillance system and improves the effectiveness of security and surveillance together with the efficiency of the human resources involved in the field.

There is no doubt that the market requirement for intelligent video is huge, and that intelligent video is here to stay.  I believe that we will experience a growing demand for higher reliability and seamless integration of intelligent video products with CCTV and management systems in the near future.

What does a company need to consider when choosing an intelligent video solution?

A company looking for an intelligent video solution needs to consider the following: The systems ease of configuration and ease of use, i.e., how easy will it be to install the intelligent video system, set the detection parameters and integrate it within the video management system in use.

An additional factor would be the functionality the intelligent video system offers.  MATE¡¯s cost-effective solutions are easy to install and configure, and are user friendly.  Their flexible architecture allows the upgrading of almost any existing CCTV or DVR systems.  Adding a rich feature set, MATE has a winning solution.
