Alliance Building Services announces 25% sales growth in 2007

Alliance Building Services recently announced a 25 percent sales growth in 2007. The company gained significant market share throughout New York and the tri-state area, continuing to extend its geographic footprint.

¡°2007 was an amazing year for Alliance Building Services,¡± said CEO Gary Green.  ¡°We have grown at an extraordinary rate and have been awarded a variety of high-profile accounts.  We also have expanded our services to further meet our client¡¯s needs.¡±

In June, Alliance Building Services announced the launch of Onyx Painting Services, a division of Onyx Restorations Works, one of the first building services company in New York City to offer painting services.  To date, Onyx Painting has obtained contracts for clients such as Englewood Hospital, Harper Collins Publishing and Viacom.

First Quality Maintenance, Alliance¡¯s janitorial division, received exclusive service contracts for all Commerce Bank Stores in Manhattan, significantly expanding its portfolio of branches.  Other notable 2007 contracts include:

919 Third Avenue, 810 Seventh Avenue, 120 West 45th Street, 1185 Sixth Avenue, 1 Park Avenue, 135 West 50th Street, 340 Madison Avenue, 100 Wall Street and 400 Atlantic Street located in Stamford, Connecticut.

Alliance¡¯s building protection division, Classic Security, increased its presence to also include 400 Atlantic Street, 450 West 33rd Street, 2 West 45th Street, 1359 Broadway, 16 and 44 Court Street, 340 Madison Avenue, 75 Broad St, 100 Wall Street and 8-10 East 40th Street.

Classic Security honored the ¡°Guards of the Year¡± and recognized acts of exemplary service by its officers during events such as the July 18th Steam Pipe Explosion.  The security division also held a counter terrorism seminar in conjunction with the NYPD as well as provided its employees with the opportunity to receive CPR training and certification.

Bright Star Couriers earned contracts to open messenger centers at new locations including 120 West 45th Street, 110 William Street, 100 Wall Street, 5 Hanover Square and 90 Broad Street. 

Bright Star celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Commerce Bank Five Boro Bike Tour.  The company also held a Messenger Appreciation Week with an appreciation dinner where standout employees were honored with prizes including ipods, bicycles and American Express gift certificates.

Meanwhile, Onyx Restoration Works completed an exclusive contract to restore the stone in the lobby of the famed Empire State Building, a landmark contract for Alliance.  Other notable serviced properties include: 800 Third Avenue, 100 Wall Street, 1440 Broadway, 230 and 237 Park Avenue.
