Advanced IP video control capabilities enhanced by high performance cameras.

On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc., a specialist in intelligent, open architecture IP-based video surveillance software solutions, has announced their new collaboration with StarDot Technologies, a premier manufacturer of high-resolution network cameras and servers for professional applications.

The impressive performance of StarDots megapixel cameras ideally complements OnSSI¡¯s approach to IP video surveillance control and monitoring,¡± said Gadi Piran, President and CTO of OnSSI. "StarDot cameras integrate seamlessly with our push technology, enabling advanced video analytics to facilitate monitoring and minimize bandwidth requirements."

One strong benefit of using OnSSI with StarDot cameras is the "send on motion only" mode available in their cameras. In-house testing has shown this can save up to 70% on bandwidth, an important consideration for IP video surveillance systems employing multiple megapixel cameras. StarDot cameras offer resolution up to 5 megapixels to facilitate critical identification of individuals and incidents, and to enable digital zoom. Video motion detection is integrated, along with an automatic day/night IR filter and a video output for hybrid applications.

¡°The combination of our high resolution megapixel cameras with the OnSSI system control solution is very exciting,¡± said Vance Kozik, Product Manager, StarDot Technologies. ¡°OnSSI¡¯s digital pan/tilt/zoom controls for recorded video allow customers to take full advantage of the resolution of StarDot cameras. With this feature, a single StarDot camera with a wide angle lens can effectively do the job of three or four conventional video surveillance cameras.¡±
