OnSSi and S2 Security partner

Integrated platform links video to access control alerts and exceptions, allowing for improved response to events and effective investigation

On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc. (OnSSI), a provider of non-proprietary, open architecture IP-Based Video Surveillance software solutions and S2 Security Corporation, a manufacturer of the development of network-based integrated physical security systems, has announced a strategic partnership that will integrate the OnSSI IP surveillance NVR and Intelligent Video Delivery platforms with the S2 NetBox integrated physical security management system.   With the integrated S2 and OnSSI system, video surveillance will correspond to events detected by a range of physical security devices, including access control, alarm monitoring and temperature monitoring.  Because the system will attach video to each unauthorized access attempt or perimeter security breach, it will eliminate the need to search for and match video content to security exceptions.  As a result, users will be able to effectively respond to real-time security events and will be able to streamline the investigation of security events after they occur.

The integrated IP-based solution will allow users to receive and forward both live and recorded video from an unlimited number of cameras. Users will have the ability to receive video through the S2 NetBox Web browser-based interface as well as define physical security events through the OnSSI NetDVMS client interface and through the NetSwitcher control room video wall management platform. The combined solution will also dramatically increase the situational awareness capabilities of IP video surveillance systems throughout large scale deployments, such as on campuses and multi-site facilities.
