Expand existing physical access control features at low cost

A unique new soluion exists for upgrading existing physical access control systems at low cost.

Common Credential Systems, a San Antonio technology company, offers a unique, patent-pending approach to Physical Access Control retrofit or upgrade called Common Pass¢â. Existing access control systems of virtually any model or type can be quickly and inexpensively up-graded to include almost 400,000 card capacity, FIPS-201 and other high-security PIV cards, mixed card formats, global Internet-based management and reporting with AES-256 security, advanced schedules and other features. And Common Pass¢â can do all this with zero down-time and no impact on existing cardholders. Originally designed for Homeland Security first-responder applications, this technology is popular among building managers, large distributed businesses, schools and universities, and many others.

Chris Fox, CTO at Common Credential Systems, says, "The Common Pass¢â product eliminates the need to remove and replace your expensive, existing systems. Instead, it simply clips-in next to those systems and greatly expands their capability and security. Your costly infrastructure is not wasted, making the upgrade easily affordable.
"Furthermore," Fox adds, "Existing cardholders can continue to work uninterrupted when the new Common Pass¢â hardware is installed -- and then new cardholders, new policies and new credentials can be implemented at a rate that the users and the facility can handle. The system can even translate new technology FIPS or other cards to your existing card numbers, allowing you to use your old system (all or part of it) for as long as you want."
