Bold and Contigo partner to provide integrated GPS solutions

Bold Technologies has partnered with turn-key GPS solutions provider Contigo to deliver integrated GPS and alarm management to monitoring stations, enabling them to offer subscribers GPS asset tracking, fleet management and personal safety solutions.

Under the alliance, Contigo¡¯s GPS platform will be embedded into Bold¡¯s Manitou monitoring automation and business management software.

Contigo¡¯s revolutionary 8100 indoor-locatable asset tracking beacon provides subscribers with email and/or cell phone alerts whenever an asset or vehicle is removed from a specific geographic area or zone. With Manitou, these alerts are included within the monitoring station¡¯s established incident-handling processes. Operators can immediately alert the appropriate local authorities in the event of a theft and provide continuous tracking information as needed.

¡°We had been searching for a GPS partner for some time,¡± said Rod Coles, president of Bold Technologies. ¡°Contigo¡¯s robust platform and strong reputation within the security industry made them an ideal partner for providing Manitou customers with a full portfolio of reliable, in-demand GPS products and services.¡±

Manitou is the perfect alarm management solution for GPS tracking solutions because it was designed to embed multiple technologies, including remote access control, intrusion and video – providing monitoring stations with One Point of Control.

¡°Bold has a long history of providing the most advanced central station automation software in the industry, so it was a natural fit to integrate our advanced GPS solutions and Manitou,¡± said Rob Goehring, VP of product managing and marketing for Contigo.

Bold and Contigo will co-market the GPS module to Bold¡¯s existing customer base, as well as potential central station customers. Several Bold customers – including The Security Center in New Orleans – are already using the module in their monitoring stations.
