As Bell Fire Ltd this business has operated successfully since the late 1990s. In addition to supporting Bell¡¯s nationwide security systems activities with retail banks, other fire systems customers have been, to date, primarily clustered in the Glasgow-Edinburgh corridor and in London and the South East. A first step will be expanding the regional service management team and developing a new regional operations centre in Leeds.

Mark Petre said: "Fire UK is looking to capitalise on existing strengths rather than break new ground. Our systems design, installation and ongoing maintenance activities are well-rooted. But we are being more forceful in marketing our ability to take over maintenance contracts for systems installed by third-parties. And our NSI Fire Gold-certified status adds value to our ability to support clients in their responses to the October 2006 changes in UK fire regulations.¡±
