Norbain expands range of IP solutions

Norbain has expanded its range of IP solutions by signing a distribution agreement with Fluidmesh Networks, the worldwide leader in wireless video-surveillance systems based on mesh networking technology.

"Norbain is constantly expanding the choice of IP solutions available to customers to ensure that, whatever their electronic security requirement, we can provide an appropriate solution," says Norbain¡¯s Paul Wong, divisional director - branded products & technical services. "Fluidmesh brings a whole new skill-set to the table by offering a wireless IP solution for transmitting IP data securely over long distances, with in-built redundancy to ensure that communication is robust."

Products in the range include the Fluidmesh 2200, the only wireless mesh networking product designed and manufactured specifically for video-surveillance applications. Every Fluidmesh 2200 series wireless unit not only transmits the video streams coming from the cameras directly attached to it, but also dynamically routes packets coming from other Fluidmesh units through the optimal path.

"Norbain has impressive experience in the world-wide security market which will aid us in reaching a wider audience," says Umberto Malesci, president and co-founder of Fluidmesh Networks. "We look forward to working closely with them to ensure that customers receive the best  possible product choice and service."
