ComCam illuminates day/night cameras

ComCam International, a developer of distributed video networking solutions and a subsidiary of ComCam, Inc., announced that a line of long-range Infrared (IR) illuminators is now available.

The ComCam Eliminator product line includes three models that cover a range of distances and coverage patterns.

According to ComCams CEO Don Gilbreath, "Network video applications today demand higher frame rates for effective motion and frame analysis.  Whether you are using analog cameras or modern Internet Protocol (IP) video systems, you have the same set of low-light level problems.  When there is no budget for thermal imaging systems, most people reach for day/night cameras that dont perform as well at night without illumination.  Adding the ComCam Eliminator solves this problem."  He added, "ComCam IP video systems are currently deployed in remote environments in the Middle East and South America and on U.S. borders where they must operate under extremely low-light conditions."

According to Mark Elliot, Vice President, the ComTran Group of Atlanta, GA, "We are using the ComCam product with a Bosch Dinion day/night camera and the quality of the video is really impressive.  It is a plug-and-play solution that instantly solved our nighttime video issues, not to mention meeting the customers needs and budget.  We are using several Eliminators on a local school construction project.  These units have an impressive dispersal pattern and are well built for industrial markets."

ComCam develops network video command-and-control products and provides solutions and technical services to U.S. government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, research facilities and original equipment manufacturers, systems integrators and dealers worldwide.
