The appointment, which is made by a SIA selection committee, was formalized in a vote on September 12 and is effective immediately. Among its newest members, Calegari joins a select group of security industry leaders, each of whom represents a broad spectrum of electronic security interests and experience.

Calegari brings more than thirty years of experience in the security industry. Prior to assuming the role of President and CEO of Dedicated Micros¡¯ Americas Region in 2006, Calegari served as President and Regional Head of Siemens Building Technologies, Inc.¡¯s Security Division, as well in other executive, leadership and advisory capacities at Siemens Building Technologies Ltd. and Siemens Canada. He also has a successful career history with Johnson Controls Inc. and Pan Am World Services, Inc.
With a collective goal of promoting growth, expansion and professionalism, the Security Industry Association is among the security industrys most well-known and respected trade associations. SIA serves as a comprehensive industry resource, providing assistance, support and educational programs for its members that cover all aspects of security. Calegari will play an integral role in guiding the overall direction of the association as well as developing policy and best practices.
