Developed partially in response to the rise in copper and aluminum thefts and feedback from key Tier 1 communications customers, the solution provides remote monitoring of Web-based cameras, door and window alarms and more. Camera images are centrally stored and can be motion-triggered or scheduled; the system alerts network operations centers or loss prevention personnel to search for and view live or stored footage on any camera throughout the network, based on pre-established privileges. Additionally, cameras can be accessed remotely for configuration changes and pan/tilt/zoom control.
The offering is the latest in Applied Innovation¡¯s (AI) strategy to deliver the most comprehensive management solution for critical remote infrastructure such as cell sites, outside plant, and electrical substations. The solution comprises AIremoteTM, a versatile remote site appliance that serves as an alarm collection point and remote access interface, and AIdirectorTM, a management platform designed specifically for remote technicians to monitor and control core network elements, security systems, power systems and more. An optional DC-powered, telco-grade power over Ethernet injector is available to ensure cameras continue to operate even if the primary power source is disrupted by failure or malicious intent. Remote cameras, as well as complete implementation and product support services are also available.
