Honeywell introduces next-generation video and access control management platform

Rich graphical user interface integrates with Pro-Watch¢ç security management system to maximize video surveillance

Honeywell announced the launch of the latest addition to its integrated security offering.  The new video management platform integrates seamlessly with Honeywell¡¯s industry leading Pro-Watch¢ç access control software to provide a single interface that automatically ties access control events with relevant video.  It offers an easy-to-use and user-friendly method for users to streamline and manage their video surveillance and access control infrastructure simultaneously.

The unique video management platform bridges the gap between disparate access control and video surveillance functions, making it an all-inclusive security management solution.  The deployment of this system helps security professionals more efficiently manage multiple sources of access control and video by giving the same look, touch, and feel to different technologies.  In addition to providing a common user interface across Honeywell¡¯s video systems, the platform¡¯s scalable, open architecture offers centralized command and control capabilities to allow management of third-party video components.

¡°It¡¯s essential that today¡¯s security technologies work together to provide real-time information when you need it.  Seamless integration is the cornerstone for providing our customers with proactive security solutions that help to deter crime,¡± said Rob Blasofsel, integrated security product manager of Honeywell.

Because it can leverage the existing video and access control infrastructure of a site, this new platform offers users the flexibility they need to manage multiple sites and locations with a combination of centralized and distributed technology.  It also provides rules-based operations that trigger graphical display of alarms and powerful virtual matrix switching of digital and analog systems, which enable audit trails using advanced and simple to use search tools.

¡°We¡¯re excited about this product because it represents the true integration of access control and video,¡± said John Lorenty, president of Honeywell Systems Group.  ¡°We¡¯re confident that this exceptional solution will form the basis of innovative technology that will revolutionize the future of security and surveillance installations.¡±
