Safety and Security Asia 2007 sees best line-up of speakers in years

Top security experts from the world share their experiences and in depth knowledge to fortify Asia¡¯s role in security.

The 9th Safety & Security Asia 2007 (SSA¡¯ 07) marks another proud event from Conference & Exhibition Management Services (CEMS). The 3-day exhibition will showcase the very latest in security technology enhancement, safety equipment and threat neutralization procedures. Exhibition starts from 31st October to 2nd November 2007 at the Suntec Convention Hall.

Another expected concurrent event is the Asia Security Conference 2007. The conference is co-powered by the security giant, Cisco Security Pte Ltd. Ciscos inclusion in the premier bi-annual conference affirms the events positioning as the biggest security conference in Asia.

The conference will be held from the 31t October to 1 November 2007.  Expecting, 350 delegates from different industries across nations, the conference will stage a solid line-up of highly experienced and respected members from the world of security management. They will take the spotlight as they share their extensive knowledge and experience in world-class security management, new security threats and solutions.

 

The speakers line-up include local and foreign speakers, such as:

 

Christian Sommade

Executive Director of French High Committee for Civil Defence and The European Homeland Security Association

Mr Sommade is regarded as one of France¡¯s foremost experts in security and was involved in handling the Mariott Hotel crisis in Indonesia.  He has been a top consultant to many major security firms as well in the matters concerning protecting a population from a catastrophic threat and infrastructure protection for more then 10 years. He will be sharing his expertise in critical infrastructure protection on the first day of the exhibition. 

 

 

Wallace Gowin

Security Director Asia Pacific of Agility.

Mr Gowin oversees the security needs of Agility, one of the biggest logistics companies in the world. Having previous experience with the Airforce and being a graduate from the National FBI Academy, Mr. Gowin has established himself as a top player in security with more then 15 years experience and has consulted many big companies in the matters of logistic security. He will comment on new security challenges in the supply chain on the second day of the exhibition.

 

 

Mr. Tan Tong Hai,

President & CEO, Singapore Computing Systems Pte. Ltd

With a career that has spanned more then 20 years, Mr. Tan Tong Hai is held as one of the nations most experienced players in the Information Technology trade.  Mr. Tan now leads Singapore Computing Systems as they command the information and communication technology scene in Asia. Being a top provider for IT services, Mr. Tan has seen the many problems and dire consequences from IT security threats that target our economy.  On the second day of the exhibition he will share his views on Business Continuity & IT Security in the midst of an imposing security risk.

 

 

Col. Eric Yap

Director of Operation of the Singapore Civil Defence Force

Col. Eric will speak on Hazmat Transportation and its importance. Backed up by 14 years of experience in the force Col. Yap will add a strong forefront to Singapore¡¯s contribution in the conference. Col. Eric has contributed significantly to many of Singapore¡¯s national emergency planning and training systems.
