Viveo Group responds to the new stakes of the European banks

Viveo has launched a unique solution that covers all functionalities to Europeanize the flow of payments, while securing them against practices of money laundering and terrorism financing.

Banks need to rethink their Information Technology (IT) in order to face two major European regulations: European standardization of payments ( SEPA - Single European Payment area - January 2008) and the battle against money laundering ( AML, 3rd European directive effective November 2007).  Being a key player in information technology and consulting for banking and finance, Viveo differentiates itself by launching a unique solution that covers all functionalities to Europeanize the flow of payments, while securing them against practices of money laundering and terrorism financing.  This unique offer can give banks the opportunity to easily integrate themselves in this new dimension of European payments while allowing them to gain efficiency in the detection of operations akin to money laundering.
SEPAML solution, unveils Viveo Group expertise, relies on the best of technology in order to centralize the flow of European payments, amplify the analysis of information inherent to transactions and fight more resourcefully against money laundering. Auguste VANDEWYNCKELE, Business Manager Payment Means and Flow at Atos Origin declares: "With the upcoming opening of the new European payment environment, banks will have to manage financial flows from lesser known countries. Therefore bank directors, being legally responsible, have to arm themselves with tools and processes in order to ensure the origin of

the funds.
