Enhanced version of access control system

Siemens releases enhanced version of access control system SiPass integrated.

SiPass integrated is a powerful and flexible access control system that provides a very high level of security without compromising convenience and ease of use for system users. The latest version includes a host of new features and enhancements that help increase customer productivity and improve the security of any facility.

SiPass integrated is built to meet access control needs that range in complexity from medium to very high. It can be used to manage access to anything from a single low-rise office or residential building with just a few doors to massive high-rise complexes with tens of thousands of doors, gates, barriers and elevators at multiple sites around the globe. The system also fully supports the integration of CCTV, intrusion and fire alarm systems -- either Siemens own or third-party – thereby creating a total security solution.

One of the most interesting new features in the latest version of SiPass integrated is the visual reporting tool, which enables end-users to quickly and easily configure and sort information according to their specific needs. The tool includes database information reporting, audit-trail information reporting, and point-and-click report availability. Reports can be run simultaneously and the software includes advanced filtering options, targeted search criteria, and a tree view for simplified use.

The Sintony intrusion interface is another significant new feature in SiPass integrated. Using this interface it is possible to integrate a dedicated intrusion panel into a SiPass integrated access control system. Alternatively, existing Sintony customers can use this interface to add a fully featured access control application to their suite of building management tools.

The latest version of SiPass integrated also includes a number of enhancements to existing features that provide users with more control and flexibility. Further, it supports the latest Microsoft database applications – MS SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition and MS SQL Server 2005 Express Edition – which will enable end-users to benefit from performance, data backup and GUI-management enhancements.
